Dish rack, but not like my grandmother had! This custom dish rack was handcrafted by a local Amish cabinet maker and brought to life from a collection of Pinterest inspiration images. When you truly love a particular look and cannot find it anywhere, having it made custom is often the best way to create something both beautiful and uniquely your own.
Beautiful, functional, and full of charm. This coffee and tea bar was designed to be both practical and inspiring for everyday use. The small tea house container served as the design anchor for the space, influencing the styling and overall direction. A blend of warm wood tones and soft cream hues brought balance and warmth to this inviting kitchen feature.
An example of my classic style layered with traditional pieces, this antique door was a true hidden gem. I found it for $30 at a salvage yard, covered in eight layers of paint, and saw the potential right away. With time, effort, and a little creativity, it was transformed into a beautiful office door. Adding it to my new home build brought another layer of character and dimension to the foyer, while creating a true statement piece.
A colorful guest room? Absolutely. This space also serves as a home office, and the wallpaper is undoubtedly the star of the show. It set the tone for the entire room, inspiring the color palette and overall design direction. I love starting with one standout element and letting it lead the way.
The goal is always to create a space that feels finished, comfortable, and thoughtfully pulled together.
Taking a simple white staircase to the next level, this project proves that great design does not require an unlimited budget. With $1,500 to bring more life, color, and character into this space, we focused on making a meaningful impact without overwhelming the large foyer. Since painting the entire area was not the right fit, we chose to work with the home’s existing blue tones to create an entry that feels both memorable and functional.
A large fireplace wall calls for a design that makes the most of the full height of the space. Extending the shiplap to the ceiling helped draw the eye upward while offering a more cost-effective alternative to full stone. Warm wood tones and a few simple antique pieces brought in a sense of function and romance, creating a space that feels both elevated and inviting.
Just a refresh? Sometimes a thoughtful update is all a space needs. For this fireplace project, the client wanted a darker, slightly gothic feel, so we focused on creating depth and character within the existing space. Marble was added to the hearth and mantel, and the stone was painted black to give the fireplace a richer, more dramatic presence.
